Two-thirds of Bulgarians approve of sanctions against Russia: survey

63% of Bulgarians support the European Union's common policy relating to the war in Ukraine. 32% of the respondents are against, data of an express survey, conducted by Alpha Research agency and the Bulgarian National Television on February 28th, show.

48% of the respondents have a negative opinion of Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and 32% of the respondents have a positive view of Putin.

55% of the people who took part at the poll approve of the replacement of Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense requested by Premier Kiril Petkov. 36% of the respondents disagree with Stefan Yanev's replacement.

47% of Bulgarians are ready to pay the price of sanctions against Russia. 36% of the respondents, mostly financially constrained people, are reluctant to pay the higher cost, Alpha Research notes.
