War in Ukraine

A new attempt to evacuate the residents of Mariupol

Mariupol will try today to evacuate some of the 400,000 residents trapped inside the city by Russian forces, Reuters reported. People will start leaving the city at 12.00 local time in the conditions of a temporary ceasefire, which will last nine hours. There was a similar plan yesterday, but the evacuation did not take place due to the ongoing shootings between Russian and Ukrainian forces.

Meanwhile, the head of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said there had been several attacks in Ukraine on Ukrainian health facilities, killing and injuring many. Russia has repeatedly denied allegations that it is attacking civilian targets.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is currently on the phone with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
