Bulgaria's tennis player Viktoriya Tomova achieved her first victory in a tennis tournament of the Masters series. In the first round of qualifications in Indian Wells, Tomova won 6:2, 6:1 against Elizabeth Mandlik from the U.S.
The 20-year-old Mandlik is 313rd in the chart of the Women's Tennis Association. She is daughter of former Czech tennis player Hana Mandlikova, who won four Grand Slam titles back in the 1980s and reached third place in the world.
