Bulgaria to set up document application centers on its borders to help Ukrainian refugees

Document application centers will be set up on each Bulgarian border crossing. Thus, Ukrainians fleeing war will be able to obtain temporary residence in Bulgaria, Premier Kiril Petkov said in Parliament. Bulgaria will also launch a job platform and a platform for quick integration of refugees.

Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova will set up joint checkpoints on the Moldova-Romania border to facilitate the redirection of refugees to Romania and Bulgaria, Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska announced at a press conference with the Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova Nicolae Popescu in Kishinev. Moldova called on Bulgaria to provide more buses to accelerate evacuation of refugees.
