Justice Minister Nadezhda Yordanova: EU Chief Prosecutor Laura Laura Kövesi did not comment on the resignation of Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev

Justice Minister Nadezhda Yordanova said that she and European Chief Prosecutor Laura Kövesi did not comment on domestic political issues and the resignation of Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev.

They discussed issues from the competence of the executive and legislative powers, explained Yordanova. Among them were the changes in the Penal Code.

Bulgarian Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev also met with Laura Kövesi. They talked about combating EU funds fraud, VAT abuse, money laundering, corruption and organised crime, BTA reports.
