Movement for Rights and Freedoms, MRF, leader Mustafa Karadayi has declined to comment on the arrest of former PM Boyko Borissov and other GERB party members because “the information is, as yet, insufficient”.

“I want to see the warrant and whether the procedure has been followed,” Mustafa Karadayi said further, and cited similar Interior Ministry operations against MRF activists during the elections in 2021.

Asked whether he expects MRF MP Delyan Peevski to be arrested as week, Mustafa Karadayi said: “I expect to be arrested myself, if we live in a country in which we say “God protect Bulgaria”, but we do nothing to protect it ourselves.”
