Despite the gloomy forecasts, high electricity prices and the war in Ukraine, the winter tourist season in Bulgaria is successful, data of the Unified Tourist Information System of Bulgaria’s Ministry of Tourism indicate.
The number of hotel accommodations in December and January saw a two-fold increase to 556,667. However, hotel occupancy was 67% of the occupancy registered during the tourist season before the Covid-19 pandemic.
