Bulgaria's government has discussed a set of measures that will be taken if Russia shuts off gas supplies, Head of the Prime Minister’s Political Cabinet Lena Borislavova said.

"Our country adheres to the common European position that payments should not be made in rubles, as demanded by Russia, but in euros or US dollars, in accordance with the agreement with Gazprom", Lena Borislavova further said.

Meanwhile, Bulgaria’s Minister of Energy reported on the talks with Greece, Serbia and Turkey regarding the security of gas supplies and natural gas supply from Azerbaijan. "The Bulgarian authorities think it is unlikely that Russia would turn off gas to Bulgaria", Lena Borislavova added.
