Bulgaria's recovery and sustainability plan has been given the green light by Brussels, Prime Minister Kiril Petkov said, adding that the country already has a very good and workable plan.

Energy supplies will be guaranteed, the prime minister assured. "We are preserving the full capacity of the Maritsa basin and within the framework of the green transition we will use innovative solutions - batteries, renewable energy sources, geothermal energy."

Kiril Petkov also said that the priority of the rule of law has been put on a pedestal. "We finally have a mechanism that strengthens control over the prosecutor general - a judge who will temporarily take over the role of investigating prosecutor," he added.
