The government is preparing a new package of anti-crisis measures to support citizens and businesses, Finance Minister Asen Vassilev said.

"Since the adoption of the budget and since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, we have had several pro-inflationary factors related to the prices of gas, oil, food and agricultural products," he stressed.

According to the minister, these factors will lead to much more serious inflation than originally planned. Energy subsidies should be turned into a mechanism that works in case of need and not be based on compensation, Assen Vassilev said.
