Disagreement in ruling coalition over the topics of North Macedonia and Russian ambassador

Neither the leadership coalition council, nor the Council of Ministers nor the council in the National Assembly have discussed and decided on expulsion of the Russian ambassador, BSP leader and Deputy Prime Minister Korneliya Ninova wrote on Facebook. The statement comes after Deputy Prime Minister Assen Vassilev of "We Continue the Change" said the government was considering whether to declare the Russian ambassador a persona non grata.

Also on Facebook, Slavi Trifonov, leader of "There is Such a People", expressed dissatisfaction that agreements on Skopje's European integration are being violated.

"Prime Minister Kiril Petkov is constantly trying to circumvent this agreement and lift Bulgaria's veto without any conditions. He wants start of negotiations with North Macedonia by the end of June, without any legal guarantees for the observance of the rights of Bulgarians there," Trifonov wrote.
