"The election of governor of the Bulgarian National Bank is getting to look like a melodrama, with elements of a soap opera," the leader of "There is Such a People" party Slavi Trifonov wrote on Facebook.

"Some people make unnecessary noise in the media. I will not withdraw the nomination of Lyubomir Karimanski for governor of the BNB - he is a good expert and a decent candidate. Bulgaria’s National Assembly will decide", Slavi Trifonov noted before the council of the ruling four-party coalition.

Andrey Gyurov from "We Continue the Change" was also nominated for governor of the Bulgarian National Bank.
