April 20 is the deadline by which the owners of hotels with accommodated Ukrainian refugees must receive state aid of BGN 40 per person per day, the Minister of Tourism Hristo Prodanov told BNR.

More than 30,000 Ukrainians are currently staying in about 500 hotels in Bulgaria.
According to the minister, the reason for the delay in payments is due to the fact that 10% of the names of refugees appeared in different hotels at the same time. "I am waiting for the decree of the Council of Ministers to allocate the funds, and they will be transferred immediately," he assured.
