"Keeping one’s head up might have a high price, but this is the only way one can see clearly, move forward with dignity and write a letter signed with blood that opens the door to the resurrection of Bulgaria," President Rumen Radev said in his speech at the solemn celebration of the 146-th anniversary of the April Uprising in Bulgaria’s Koprivshtitsa.

The Bulgarian President said that this was the home town of the great leaders of the April Uprising, Todor Kableshkov and Georgi Benkovski. According to President Radev, their bravery showed the world that Bulgarians reject slavery and proved the dawn of Bulgarian freedom was coming.
