New cybersecurity system to be introduced, Minister of e-Government Bozhidar Bozhanov says

Legislative changes and a new cybersecurity strategy are to be adopted after the crash of the Bulgarian Posts (postal services) systems, Minister of e-Government Bozhidar Bozhanov wrote in his blog. Bulgarian Posts, the Bulgarian National Bank and other public enterprises are to become strategic assets and their network and information security is to be monitored by the counterintelligence agency. The government is to adopt an incident response protocol.

“Since the start of the war in Ukraine we have inspected some of the most critical facilities and have made recommendations for raising their level of security,” Minister Bozhanov comments, and points out that 48,000 malicious behavious IP addresses from Russia and Belarus have been blocked.
