Prime Minister Kiril Petkov did not confirm the reports about a meeting being prepared between French President Emmanuel Macron and Bulgarian head of state Rumen Radev by the end of June in Paris, where the leaders will seek a solution to the crisis with North Macedonia.

According to media reports, this meeting was discussed at the Coalition Council of the ruling parties and the attendees promised to limit their comments on North Macedonia's admission to negotiations with the EU.

In Brussels, Kiril Petkov said he could not confirm the information until diplomats had professionally decided "where we can go forward".

"Regardless of what the diplomats agree, the decision will have to be adopted by the parliament. Nothing will be hidden from the Bulgarian people," the prime minister promised.
