There is no progress on the open issues between Sofia and Skopje, which is why there are no conditions for my visit to Paris to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron. This is what President Rumen Radev said after the opening of the 15th International Defence Equipment And Services Exhibition „Hemus 2022” in the city of Plovdiv.

"As for Prime Minister Kiril Petkov's conviction that the Parliament is the final instance on the issue of North Macedonia, I must point out that the final instance is always the people and that there are constitutional mechanisms for consulting them," Radev said.

On the deployment of American F-35 fighters in Bulgaria, the head of state emphasized that the presence of NATO allies is valuable for the country.
