Trade unions demand funds for higher wages in updated budget, or cabinet faces protests

Tradeunions demanded that one billion leva (€500 million) be allocated in the budget update for wage increases. Otherwise there will be a series of protests in many sectors. 


This was announced by the president of one of the largest trade unions Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria Plamen Dimitrov


The trade union's demand is that wages in the budget sector be raised by at least 15%, and for the agencies working in the field - by 20%, as well as a minimum wage of at least 760 leva (€388).
