On June 20, Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev will take part in the summit and business forum of the Three Seas Initiative in Latvia. In Riga, the leaders of the participating countries will discuss the deteriorating security environment after the war in Ukraine and the accession of new countries outside the EU to the initiative.

The Three Seas initiative involves 12 EU member states from the Baltic, Adriatic and Black Sea regions, located on the old continent on the North-South axis. Its fundamental goal is to promote economic growth and overall cohesion in the region by expanding and improving the connectivity of transport, energy and digital infrastructure in Eastern Europe.
