President Rumen Radev leads the Bulgarian delegation at the NATO Summit in Brussels. Before the start of the summit, Turkey lifted its veto over Finland and Sweden’s bid to join NATO. “The agreement sends a clear message to President Putin: NATO’s door is open. President Putin wanted less NATO on his borders, but now he is getting the opposite”, NATO’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said. Jens Stoltenberg said earlier that the NATO Summit will agree a strengthened assistance package for Ukraine including secure communication and anti-drone systems. “I expect that allies will state clearly that Russia poses a direct threat to our security”, Jens Stoltenberg said.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has asked the UN Security Council to designate Russia as a terrorist state. President Zelensky also called on the United Stated to recognize Russia as a sponsor of terrorism. President of France Emmanuel Macron said there was no need for using the term “state sponsor of terrorism” in relation to Russia to impose sanctions on it.
