"We will talk and seek support from independent MPs who make their own decisions," commented Lena Borislavova, the outgoing cabinet spokesperson, on the upcoming negotiations for a new government.

She added that it is illogical for "We continue the change" to negotiate with "There is such a people" and again "one of the coalition partners sitting in a dark room and wanting to spend a resource in a way that only he saw fit together with his friends for 20 years".

Lena Borislavova denied that she had given instructions to Foreign Minister Teodora Genchovska for the expulsion of the 70 Russian diplomats.

Genchovska sent a letter to Borislavova after receiving the DANS reports about a threat to Bulgaria's national security and asked how she should act, the resigned cabinet spokesman added.

"My answer was: Please obey the law and international law. No other instructions," said Lena Borislavova.
