Bulgaria’s national women’s volleyball team remains in the Volleyball Women's Nations League, VNL, in 2023, after winning versus Poland by 3-1 games in Sofia.  This was the last match for the Bulgarian side in the League’s group phase. The Bulgarian players, with coach Lorenzo Micheli, now have 4 victories and have garnered 12 points, even though they lost to Brazil and to Italy, and remain in the elite league ahead of Belgium.

Maria Yordanova is Bulgaria’s top scorer in the match with 22 points. Because of the war in Ukraine the Russian team was eliminated.
