Several MPs must decide to whom they will be loyal - to the party and their leader or to Bulgaria, said the resigned Prime Minister Kiril Petkov on the occasion of the attempts with the mandate of "We Continue the Change" to form a new government. "This is our chance not to enter into a political crisis," said Petkov.

The leader of the GERB opposition party, Boyko Borissov, accused the ruling politicians of unprincipled formation of a new government. He commented that the largest-scale buying of deputies is taking place in the parliament in order to ensure the minimum of 121 people's representatives to support a cabinet with Assen Vassilev as prime minister.
The Vazrazhdane party also stated that Petkov had promised to "compensate" their deputies if they supported the new government.
