Bulgaria’s outgoing Premier Kiril Petkov responded to the criticism by GERB’s leader Boyko Borissov. Earlier today, Borissov predicted that in August Bulgaria would remain without gas.

Here is what Kiril Petkov wrote on Facebook: “Turk Stream- EUR 1.5 billion- 0% of the pipeline’s capacity is reserved for Bulgaria, 0% diversification. The Bulgaria-Greece interconnector-EUR 255 million-100% of the pipeline’s capacity is reserved for Bulgaria, immediately diversifies one-third of Bulgaria’s annual gas consumption, costs one-third of Gazprom’s price. (An interesting fact: Despite the easier terrain, the price of one kilometer of Turk Stream is two times higher than that of the Bulgaria-Greece gas interconnector).”
