Covid-19: Four Bulgarian districts remain at Stage 0, Varna is at Stage 2

Four Bulgarian districts (Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Targovishte and Shumen) remain at Stage 0 under of the National Operational Plan for dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, data of the National Information Portal indicate. According to the map of the epidemic situation, Varna region is now at Stage 2.

Recently, Bulgaria’s government adopted the revised version of the national operational plan for dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. The plan envisages five stages, depending on the coronavirus incidence rate and the hospital bed occupancy rate.

The fourteen-day morbidity rate in Bulgaria is 276 per 100,000 population. On Monday, July 25, the Covid-19 incidence rate was 251 per 100 000 population.
