Parliament votes to ban use of laughing gas by minors

The National Assembly has approved, definitively, the amendments to the Health Act, by force of which the sale of laughing gas to minors, including on the Internet to persons under the age of 18, is banned.  

According to the amendments, the use of laughing gas is banned on the territory of kindergartens, schools, school dorms, medical establishments, at sports events organized for children and for school-goers, at public events organized for children and school-goers, as well as in closed public spaces. Violation of the prohibition entails a EUR 400 to EUR 750 fine for natural persons, and up to EUR 1,500 for a repeat offence.  The fine for sole proprietors of legal persons can reach EUR 3,000, and up to EUR 6,000 for a repeat offence.
