The porcelain and ceramics exhibition by renowned Czech designer Roman Šedina will remain as part of the cultural programme of the Czech cultural centre in Sofia. After being shown in Sofia, the exhibition is now on display in Burgas on the Black Sea until the end of August.
The exposition is part of a programme to mark the current Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU, and is presented by the Burgas branch of the National Art Gallery. In September, it will be on display at the City Art Gallery in Plovdiv. It presents Roman Šedina’s answer to the question why people love to besurrounded by ceramic vases and what that passion means. The project also features quotes and other, supplementary works.
Roman Šedina is an influential name in modern art, works of his are owned by the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, the Moravian gallery in Brno, the Ceramics Museum in Westerwald, Germany, as well as many private collections and galleries in Eastern and Western Europe.
