Bulgaria's Minister of Social Affairs proposes 30 euro increase in minimum wage

The caretaker government proposes to raise the minimum wage in Bulgaria as of 2023 from 710 /363 euros/ to 770 leva /393 euros/. This was announced by the caretaker Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Social Affairs Lazar Lazarov. 

This corresponds to the principle that the minimum wage is 50% of the average salary for the previous year, Lazarov explained. 

The proposal is yet to be discussed with the social partners.
