Bulgaria offers condolences for Abu Sefein church fire victims in Egypt

A fire tore through a packed Coptic Orthodox church during morning services near Egypt’s capital, killing 41 worshippers including at least 10 children.

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev sent a letter of condolences to the President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. He expresses his sympathies to the families and relatives of the dozens of victims of the fire that broke out during a Sunday mass at the Coptic Orthodox Church Abu Sefein in Cairo.


On behalf of the Bulgarian people and on his own behalf, Radev wished a speedy recovery for the wounded and injured in the fire at the Orthodox church.
