Once a week, on the territory of 28 towns and villages, the traffic police will carry out wide-ranging vehicle control, Chief Inspector Lachezar Bliznakov announced at a briefing.

The checks will take place in different locations, with a focus on heavy duty vehicles. According to Lachezar Bliznakov, the traffic offences have not stopped, that is why control is increased to a maximum. “Around 40-50 instances of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs are ascertained every day,” Chief Inspector Bliznakov said. The specialized police traffic operation is not limited in time.
