"Democratic Bulgaria" ask caretaker cabinet about the interests it served

"Democratic Bulgaria" declared they were against the return of "Gazprom" as a gas supplier to this country and insisted to know the position of the political forces that define themselves as Euro-Atlantic, on the announced intention of the caretaker government to resume negotiations with the Russian state-owned company.

The coalition defined as "deeply false" the statement that "Gazprom" offered the best prices and gave as an example the Azeri gas. The party, who were part of the former government, also asked whose interests the caretaker cabinet served by rejecting six of the seven US LNG tankers - part of the EC's actions to secure alternative gas deliveries and why it did not ask Greece and Turkey at the highest political level for slots for unloading liquefied gas.

According to DB, a return to the contract with "Gazprom" would eliminate our chances of seeking compensations for the unilaterally changed conditions for gas payments in April. DB called on the government to develop a plan to compensate households and businesses during the energy crisis.
