70% of Bulgarian employers are struggling to find suitable employees, according to a study by the Employment Agency on the labor market and the needs of employers.
"The aim of the survey is to feed information to training institutes and especially the Ministry of Education and Science so they can plan admissions by majors," Ivo Ivanov, head of the agency's Analysis Department, told BNR.
The highest demand is in services - about 64 thousand people are needed in trade, transport, hotels and restaurants. Next is industry, where 57 thousand specialists are needed, and the third and fourth positions are occupied by state administration, including schools, and construction.
