On Bulgaria’s National Unification Day, September 6, an initiative named "Horo Chain Dance for Unification" unites Bulgarians living in their home country and abroad. The event is held under the motto "Unity means strength" and aims to encourage Bulgarians living in their home country or abroad, staying in their home, or in front of their residential building, in the park, or in the street, to dance a traditional Bulgarian horo chain dance.

"Old and young will join forces to lift the national spirit, which has given strength to Bulgarians to overcome the impossible over the centuries," Georgi Anadolov said for the BNR-Blagoevgrad. He is Chairman of the Bulgarian Shield Association and one of the initiators of the event.
