The Strait of Gibraltar Swimming Crossing has been suspended due to bad weather. Bulgarian swimmer Tsanko Tsankov has also taken part in the channel swim between Spain and Morocco, the website Sortal.bg reported.

The competition started perfectly for Tsanko Tsankov and he took the lead after the first 7,500 meters. However, the organizers had to end the race because of strong undertow and big waves. "The organisers took the right decision, taking our safety into consideration. I am staying in the town of Tarifa with part of my team to wait for a suitable weather to start again",  Tsanko wrote in the social media.
