Bulgarian economy grew by 0.8% in the second quarter of the year compared to the first three months, according to preliminary data from the National Statistical Institute. On a year-on-year basis, growth was 4%.
The largest contributor to the growth of Gross Value Added in the country is the manufacturing sector, where growth was 11.9%. Growth of 5.6 per cent was also recorded in telecommunications and information generation and dissemination. Services and trade also grew by 4.7 per cent.
According to preliminary data, in the second quarter of 2022, GDP output amounted to EUR 19.9 billion, with EUR 2,918 per capita.
