More than 500 service persons have been deployed to guard Bulgaria’s border, caretaker Minister of Defence Dimitar Stoyanov said for bTV. This is not the army’s first time at the border, the service persons know the terrain well and are doing a good job in containing the migrant pressure, said Minister Stoyanov.

Dimitar Stoyanov expressed hope that the Ukrainian counter-offensive would turn the tide of Russia’s war. Minister Stoyanov called Russian President Vladimir Putin an aggressor.

With regard to the maintenance of the MIG-29 aircraft, Dimitar Stoyanov voiced expectations that the first 2 engines would be delivered from Poland within a month.
