The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, will arrive in Sofia on October 1 for the opening of the gas interconnector between Bulgaria and Greece. Other political leaders from the region are also invited, it became clear from his interview with TV 24. Pendarovski announced that he had talked on the phone with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev on the topic of providing electricity to the Republic of North Macedonia at lower prices. "The caretaker government in Bulgaria has been cooperative," he pointed out.

According to the president of North Macedonia, the inclusion of the Bulgarians in the preamble of the Constitution would confirm that Macedonian nation, people and language exist and would reject the claims of those who speak about one people in two countries. "Only Macedonians with shaken self-confidence are afraid of Bulgarianization or claim that this would happen", he commented and added that there was no danger of Macedonians becoming Bulgarians through the EU membership negotiations.
