Bulgaria is in favour of a ceiling on the prices of all gas imports into the EU

Bulgaria's Minister of Energy, Rosen Hristov, stated that measures to protect the Turkish Stream pipeline will be discussed in Bulgaria after the Nord Stream 1 and 2 explosions.

After the EU Council meeting in Brussels, Rosen Hristov stated that Bulgaria insisted on a ceiling on the prices of all gas imports into the EU. "Our position is that if such a measure is imposed, it should be valid for all gas imports. Imposing frameworks only for Russian gas is a sanction, not an economic measure to stabilize the market," explained the minister.

As expected, EU energy ministers did not reach an agreement today on the issue of imposing a ceiling on natural gas prices, the BNR correspondent in Brussels, Angelina Piskova, reported.
