“President Rumen Radev must give a clear answer to the question why Bulgaria is mentioned in Moscow’s information about the blast on the Crimean bridge,” a letter by the Bulgarian Socialist Party’s executive Bureau demands.
“Radev must assign the Bulgarian special services an investigation into the truck which left from Burgas. As the confrontation escalates, a clear sign must be given quickly, and Bulgaria must not be allowed to get involved in the conflict in any way,” the letter reads.
According to GERB party leader Boyko Bolrissov there can be no question of a Bulgarian connection to the truck and the explosion on the Crimean bridge. “In times of war everyone wants to throw off the tension. That is my explanation. The truck in question crossed a lot of countries over a long period. It is clear that the explosive wasn’t loaded here, because it cannot cross the borders, it could self-detonate anywhere,” Borissov commented.
