Over the last year and a half, industrial production in Bulgaria continues its upward trend on a monthly and annual basis. For August the growth is estimated at 0.7% compared to July and 16.5% compared to last year, announced the National Statistical Institute.
Declines were recorded only in the chemical sector (down 11.6%), electronics (down 10.3%), automotive and timber (down 8.5%).
The construction sector also grew by 0.5% in August, offsetting the decline recorded in July.
