Three documentaries and three contemporary Bulgarian films will be shown in a three-day festival of Bulgarian cinema in Tunisia. The event is hosted by the Palace of Culture in the Tunisian capital. The film festival will be accompanied by the exhibition "Bulgaria from a Bird's Eye View". It takes the viewer on a journey to picturesque places of Bulgaria through 25 large-format photos by Alexander Ivanov. The photographer captured the aerial shots after flying hundreds of kilometers with a motorized paraglider over different parts of the country. This is the latest traveling photo exhibition in the collection of the State Cultural Institute to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The Days of Bulgarian Cinema in Tunisia are an initiative of the Embassy of Bulgaria in the country and are realized in cooperation with the State Cultural Institute, the Ministry of Culture of Tunisia and the Tunisian National Cinema Center. All films in the panorama have French subtitles and were kindly provided by their authors.
The panorama of feature films presents "The Foreigner" (2012) by director Niki Iliev and two films by director Stanislav Donchev - "Letters from Antarctica" (2019) and "Bubble Gum" (2017). The panel of documentary productions includes "Testament, the Letters of my Father", a film dedicated to Prof. Minko Balkanski from 2022 with author Albena Nenkova, "Antarctica" from 2020 with author Zhivko Konstantinov and "The Path of Light" 2021, with producer prof.
