At a meeting with North Macedonia’s Ambassador to Sofia Agneza Popovska, Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolay Milkov expressed concern about the latest developments in the relations between Sofia and Skopje related to the rights of Bulgarians in North Macedonia.
The two parties agreed that a greater effort should be made to return to the positive dynamics in relations between Sofia and Skopje, the Foreign Ministry said. "Both parties discussed the possibilities for developing in-depth and fruitful sectoral cooperation." The emphasis was also laid on the positive trend of economic relations and the increase in bilateral trade, as well as the activity of the Cultural Centres," the statement reads.
