The Prosecutor's Office indicts several persons for abuse in the construction of Hemus Motorway

Charges were brought today against several people in connection with the investigation into abuses in the construction of the Hemus motorway,  BNR learned from its own sources. So far, neither the Interior Ministry nor the Prosecutor's Office has provided official information on the case. According to bTV, the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office today filed 8 indictments, mainly for money laundering.
In 2021, the first indictment was filed against former tax official Borislav Kolev for misuse of funds for the construction of the highway, which will connect Sofia and Varna. He was accused of laundering 13.8 million euros.
