Bulgaria reports 593 new Covid-19 cases, 3 Covid-related deaths in past day

593 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 4,797 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information portal data show. 60% of the newly-infected were not vaccinated. 12% of the tests came back positive.

The highest number of new cases of coronavirus infection was reported in Sofia-153, Plovdiv-54 and Sofia-district-34.

There are 9,886 active cases of coronavirus infection. 102 people have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 70% of them were unvaccinated. 733 patients are being treated in hospital, as 58 are in intensive care units.

3 Covid-related deaths have been reported in the past day. All of the patients who have died were not vaccinated. 721 people have been reported cured. 1,152 vaccine doses were administered on Friday. 2,073,203 is the number of people with a complete vaccination cycle.
