E-bike factory near Plovdiv to create 1,000 new jobs

A new e-bike factory near the town of Plovdiv will create 1,000 new jobs, it became clear during the visit of caretaker Minister of Innovation and Growth Alexander Pulev to the production facility of e leading e-bike company. 

The Bulgarian company is one of the largest bicycle manufacturers in Europe with an annual production capacity of over 400,000 biclycles. The company’s owner Maxim Mitkov and Minister Pulev discussed the construction of the factory, which will be located in Trakia Economic Zone near the village of Radinovo. The new factory will be a joint venture between the Bulgarian company and an Austrian manufacturer. Their investment will amount to 120 million BGN (EUR 61.3 million). The production of electric bikes is expected to start in 2024.
