The transition to climate neutrality must be well-planned. It must be smooth, socially and economically just, so that it can increase people's well-being, not decrease it. This is what President Rumen Radev told journalists in Egypt, where he participated in the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
President Radev pointed out that Bulgaria has regained its influence in the region with the commissioning of the Greece-Bulgaria gas connection, but it has and must use its potential not only to transfer energy sources. According to him, the country can become a regional leader in the production of the energy of the future - green hydrogen.
"We need to work a lot with our partners so that Bulgaria did not remain just a territory through which energy resources are transported. We can be a country that produces the energy of the future. We have all the prerequisites in terms of natural resources and scientific potential ", the president pointed out.
