Spanish fighter jets start flights over Bulgaria

On November 14 and 15, Eurofighter jets of the Spamish Army will fly over civil and military airports in the regions of Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas and over the village of Bezmer, in the region of Yambol. The Ministry of Defense says that these are reconnaissance flights.

Six Spanish Eurofighter F-2000 Typhoon jets were redeployed on Friday to the Bezmer air base, to perform tasks together with the Bulgarian MiG-29 aircraft within the NATO collective enhanced airspace protection mission on the Eastern flank of the Alliance for the period from November 14 to December 2, 2022. The Bulgarian fighter jets will be used with priority in the performance of the tasks, it was reported.
