Georgi Semerdzhiev who caused fatal car crash in Sofia was driving at 166 km/h

Georgi Semerdzhiev, who was responsible for a serious accident on Cherni Vrah Boulevard in the capital city of Sofia that caused the death of two young women, was driving with a police light on, at a speed of 166 km/h when the limit was 50 km/h, without a driver's license, under the influence of drugs and ran a red light. This is stated in the indictment of the prosecutor's office. The trial against Georgi Semerdzhiev will start at the end of November.

The Ministry of the Interior reports that within the framework of a specialized police operation to control compliance with the Road Traffic Act, 10,961 drivers and passengers have been checked and 2,486 fines and 625 reports of established violations were imposed.
