12-year old Alexander, who went missing nine days ago has been found in a locality called Chervena Mogila in the municipality of Radomir. The boy was found in a region extremely difficult of access, and the rescuers had to take him down to a location that can be reached by an ambulance.

The child spent the entire time up in the mountain and was found in helpless condition, one of his rescuers said. “He is a fighter, we helped him return home,” he added. He stated that none of the rescuers want money for finding Alexander. Yesterday, the boy’s father announced a 100,000 Leva reward to the person who finds and brings him back. The boy has been taken to Pirogov emergency hospital.

“The prosecutor’s office will look into the possibility that he was kidnapped – whether the boy wasn’t kept there by someone against his will and was released because of the announcement of a reward,” the spokesperson for the Prosecutor General Siyka Mileva said.

A massive search for Alexander, who is autistic, was conducted throughout the time he has been missing.
