Bulgarian businessman Georgi Gergov has acquired the shares of the Municipality of Varna in the capital of "Paldin Turinvest" and thus received 79% of the shares in the Plovdiv Fair, a landmark for Bulgaria. At today's extraordinary general meeting of the company, the Varna Municipality's shares of 29% were added to Gergov's share, which is 50%, and thus the businessman, a former member of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, acquired a total of 79% of the shares.
The businessman has been trying to gain ownership the Plovdiv fair for many years.

Back in 1892, the First Bulgarian Agricultural and Industrial Exhibition was organized. Its successor is the Plovdiv International Fair.
